Angelo State University choir director Dr. Eric Posada and the ASU Chorale has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall on March 11, 2024 at the 2024 Masterwork Series concert. Posada was invited to conduct the New York City Chamber Orchestra by Dr. Craig Arnold, the founder and president of the Manhattan Concert Productions.Â
Manhattan Concert Productions is a professional group of choirs, bands and orchestras for all age groups. Manhattan Concert Productions serves to provide musician groups with opportunities to perform.Â
The 2024 Masterwork Series concert will consist of pieces from “Sunrise Mass” by Ola Gjeilo. Gjelio’s work was the topic of Posada’s dissertation from Texas Tech University. Â
The ASU Chorale has 48 members including ASU students, ASU Chamber singers and select members of the San Angelo Chorus, a community choir. Both groups are conducted by Posada.Â
